“Whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while he is a believer – We will surely cause him to live a good life, and We will surely give them their reward [in the Hereafter] according to the best of what they used to do.” (Qur’an, 16:97)
What does it mean to live a good life? How do we achieve a good life?
As humans we are part of societies that are evolving rapidly technologically and materially, but at the same time, we are starving emotionally and spiritually. Our notion of happiness or progress tends to be exclusively quantitative, linear, and short of spiritual and emotional wellbeing. What is the way forward?
Tayyib Society seeks to know what it means to live “the good life” (al-hayat al-tayyibah) and how to try to achieve it. We aim to accomplish this end by deepening our knowledge of mental health, wellbeing, ethical and wholesome consumption, and environmental sustainability through articles, videos, and podcasts provided on our online platform. We work together with practitioners, students, and scholars in those fields to provide knowledge to our readers that will contribute to living a good life.
